In April 2015,
all 132 cases were notified by EU RAPEX system, the products of 94 cases within
it were from China, 71% of total numbers of the notification.
Toy,
jewelry, garment/textile, kitchen/cooking equipment etc. are the major type of
products. For toys, too high phthalates content that exceed relevant
requirement of REACH, and choking as a result of small parts that inconformity
of requirement of toy directive and EN71-1; for jewelries, too high Cadmium and
Lead content that inconformity of requirement of REACH; for garments, drawstrings
with free ends in the hood causing strangulation, and too high hexavalent
Chromium content casing allergic.
And within
it, 6 thermo cases were notified inconformity of REACH requirement by containing
asbestos fiber, because the user maybe inhales asbestos fibers after thermos
being broken, the risk of asbestos fibers are carcinogenic.
