Recently the European Commission has notified the World Trade Organisation (WTO) that it is to introduce several amendments to the EU Regulation No 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
The amendment would add two new test temperature to table 2(contact temperature) of annex V, that is:

The amendment would set new limits for aluminum, nickel and zinc of point 1 of Annex II Restrictions on materials and articles:

Moreover the amendment would add 8 substances to Annex I and would further clarify the scope of the Regulation with regard to rubber food contact materials, the salts of authorised acids, phenols or alcohols, and testing methods for oligomer migration..
The Commission aims to adopt these amendments in December.
