On May 11, 2015, OEHHA ( California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment ) has added bisphenol A (BPA) to the proposition 65 list of chemical, known to the state to cause reproductive toxicity.

OEHHA had listed BPA to proposition 65 list on April 11, 2013, whereafter delisted it on April 19, 2013. Once been listed on proposition 65, business concerning BPA are required to meet the following requirements:
1) Required a “clear and reasonable” warning label, before knowingly or intentionally exposing anyone to the listed chemicals.
2) Prohibition on contaminating drinking water.
